Sand Racing WC Calendar
The FIM is pleased to announce details of the 2026-2027 FIM Sand Races World Championship that is scheduled to be contested across five fiercely-fought rounds and, for the first time in the series’ history, will take competitors to North Africa.
With the schedule condensed from six to five rounds to reduce logistical costs and encourage participation, the title fight will get under way with the all-new Morocco Sand Race across the weekend of 26-27 September that will be staged on the beach at Mazagan (El Jadida), located around one-hundred kilometres south of the fabled city of Casablanca, on the Atlantic coast.
Competitors will then return to more familiar surroundings for Italy’s Bibione Sand Storm that is back for the third consecutive season and will run from 23-25 October.
Last visited as part of the championship in 2024, the Ronde des Sables – Loon Plage, near Dunkerque in northern France, returns to the calendar for round three on 7-8 November before the action shifts south to Portugal’s beautiful Algarve where the Monte Gordo Sand Race – a firm favourite on the calendar since the series’ inaugural year in 2023 – is scheduled for 27-29 November.
The 2026/2027 FIM Sand Races World Championship will conclude in the New Year with the fifty-first edition of the world-famous Enduropale du Touquet Pas-de-Calais in northern France on a date to be confirmed.
