De Wolf out of Argentina
Former world MX2 champion, Kay De Wolf is out of the opening Grand Prix of the season in Argentina. De Wolf gave the news to his fans. Bad news for the MXGP rookie with a thumb injury and he will come back stronger, but it will be Spain he should be back.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be making my MXGP debut this weekend, and I will be missing the first round of the season. I’ll tell you everything what happened. In France I made a good start and worked my way to the front and with two laps to go I went down and hurt my thumb. I broke something in my thumb and did rehad in Madrid for a week for recovery and they helped me a lot there, I cannot thank them enough. I went to Lommel today and it wasn't strong enough. We tried everything we could, but I won't be in Argentina and I am excited to be back and hopefully for Spain."
Hopefully he will be back for round two in Spain in three weeks time. The Husqvarna rider has shown good speed on the 450 and no doubt will be up front when he does return.
Nestaan Husqvarna mentioned on social media about his injury and the fact he will miss the first Grand Prix of the season in Argentina.
“Thumb injury puts Kay on the sidelines for Argentina. He tried everything to line up this weekend, but now the focus shifts to recovery and being ready for Spain. We regroup, we recover, we come back stronger”.
