Different track, same result as Guillem Farres of the Triumph factory team won the opening MX2 moto. The Spaniard had to first make some passes early in the moto and then battle his team-mate, Camden McLellan in the final laps. He also extended his championship points lead.

Guillem Farres: I got a decent start, made some passes and then made an aggressive pass to take the lead. I was managing at the end and didn't know Camden was so close. Its hard to manage the lappers.

Championship points are now Guillem Farres 596 points, Sacha Coenen 571pts, Simon Längenfelder 547pts, Camden Mc Lellan 530pts and Liam Everts 495pts. So a nice 25 point advantage for Farres over Coenen.

MX2 Moto One

Coenen with the lead early in the opening MX2 moto, from Langenfelder, Farres, Janis Reisulis, Mikula, Karlis Reisulis, Grau, Callemo, Sools and Doensen. Coenen passed by Janis Reisulis, Langenfelder and Farres passed Coenen and he dropped to sixth place.

On lap two the lead by Reisulis was two seconds over Farres, with Langenfelder four seconds back. The remaining top ten was Mikula, Karlis Reisulis, Coenen, Grau, McLellan, Callemo and Doensen 10th. Everts after a first turn crash back in 28th.

Farres not letting Reisulis get away with the gap still around two seconds, and Langenfelder was 5.3 behind the leader. Karlis Reisulis passed Mikula and Lata moved into the top ten as he moved into ninth place.

Lap seven, it was Reisulis with less than a second lead over Farres, while Langenfelder was 4.6 behind and it seemed the Latvian was maybe starting to fade a little. Karlis was seven seconds behind his brother, then came Mikula, McLellan, Coenen, Grau, Lata and Doensen.

Farres into the lead as he passed Reisulis, and the Spaniard again showing brilliance as he seemingly heads towards a world MX2 championship. Karssemakers a nice charge as he was involved in the first turn crash but was up to 13th place and Everts was up to 16th place.

Lap 13 the lead was four seconds, with Langenfelder all over Reisulis for second place and the German did pass and move into second. Farres wins it from McLellan and Reisulis.
