Jeffrey Herlings has taken complete control of the 2026 MXGP championship with another 1-1 victory and now a 49-point advantage over Lucas Coenen in the points race. It was Herlings 119th GP win of his brilliant career.

The Dutchman was not troubled all day, and he will head to Lommel next weekend, with so much confidence, it’s hard to see him get beaten in Belgium and extend that 49 points to a lot more.

Jeffrey Herlings: Man, it was awesome to be fastest all weekend and lead nearly every single lap. For the championship this is something special and now 49 points in front. Llast week we were 68 points behind and I have said it before, I don't like to get the lead this way. I didn't do much wrong and want to thank HRC as they are doing a really good job and the starts were good, only my team-mate ahead of me and he is a lot lighter than me. Looking forward to Lommel, kind of a home GP for me with the Dutch GP.

Championship points are now Jeffrey Herlings 615 points, Lucas Coenen 566pts, Romain Febvre 541pts, Tim Gajser 489pts and Ruben Fernandez 414pts. If Coenen cannot race Lommel next weekend, it seems sure Febvre will also pass the Belgian in the championship points.

MXGP Moto Two

Seewer led the second MXGP moto, but Vialle quickly into the lead, with Gajser, Herlings, Pancar, Fernandez, Renaux, Koch, Spies and Teresak. Febvre down in the first corner as Gajser moved into second place.

Vialle, Gajser and Herlings getting away from everyone else, with Seewer already four second back. Herlings a nice pass on Gajser and Febvre up to 18th place, with Adamo 17th. Herlings all over Vialle for the lead and really looking impressive on the Honda. De Wolf out of the moto after his first corner crash.

Top ten on lap four was Vialle, Herlings, Gajser, Seewer, Fernandez, Pancar, Koch, Van De Moosdijk, Teresak in 10th. Febvre 13th and Adamo 15th. Herlings takes the lead and puts his foot down to get away from Vialle.

Fernandez passed Seewer for fourth and at this point of the race the overall was Herlings, Vialle and Fernandez, but Febvre coming through the pack quickly and into 10th place. Another pass and he gets on the podium.

Lap seven the lead by Herlings was three seconds, with Gajser in third and five seconds off Herlings lead, then came Fernandez, Seewer, Pancar, Renaux, Febvre, Van De Moosdijk, and Koch 10th. Watson passed Koch to move into 10th, and Adamo also passed the German to move into 11th.

Febvre moved past Seewer, Renaux and Pancar and Renaux also passed the Slovenian. Top ten on lap 12 was Herlings, Vialle, Gajser, Fernandez, Febvre, Seewer, Renaux, Pancar, Van de Moosdijk and Adamo. Herlings wins the moto from Vialle and Gajser. GP overall was Herlings, Vialle and Febvre.
