Aussie Supercross - Chaos?
Motorcycling Australia, the federation for motorcycle racingin Australia, have sent out what could be considered an interesting press release about the promoters of the Australian supercross championship. You can read it below.
Motorcycling Australia: On May 28, a media release was circulated by the promoter of the Australian Supercross Championship with a 2026 event schedule. The media release is misleading.
The Queensland round, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, will not form part of the 2026 AUSX Championship because of direct clashes with the 2026 Australian Junior Motocross Championship in Victoria and the Motocross of Nations in France. The Queensland round has never been approved by Motorcycling Australia.
Finally, the New Zealand round of the 2026 Australian Supercross Championship remains tentative until a formal approval process has been completed by Motorcycling New Zealand alongside Motorcycling Australia and FIM Oceania. However, we are optimistic the event will go ahead.
