Motocross rider Ivano van Erp (20) had a hard fall on Sunday afternoon at Circuit De Witte Ruijsheuvel in Oss. He was injured in the crash and was treated by medical personnel for a long time. During the first race of the Dutch MX Nationals in Oss, Van Erp performed excellently in the 250cc class. He finished second behind Frenchman Mathis Valin. "I can see that I have the speed of those guys. If it’s right in my head, then it’s completely right," he told Omroep Brabant at the time.

In the second race on the circuit, however, things went wrong van Erp of the DCN Vos Oss KTM team crashed during the second heat of the Dutch MX Nationals in Oss on Sunday and sustained serious injuries. MXVice reported that Van Erp suffered a ruptured aorta near the heart, a broken collarbone, shoulder blade, and sternum in the crash.

Van Erp was transported to the hospital by trauma helicopter and underwent surgery there. Late last night, we received news that the surgery went well and that Ivano is stable.
