At the fourth event of the ADAC MX Masters, the fans in Tensfeld witnessed three new race winners. Changeable weather made for challenging racing conditions on the sand track. There were three new race winners with Tom Koch (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Maximilian Spies (D/Becker Racing) and Jere Haavisto (FI/Schmicker Silve Racing), but in the end Roan van de Moosdijk (NL/KTM Kosak Racing Team) climbed the top step of the podium as the most consistent rider of the weekend.

With the victory, van de Moosdijk also took over the lead of the standings from Max Nagl (D/Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing), who retired after a crash in the first race on Saturday and did not compete on Sunday due to injury.

After Koch's Red Bull holeshot, Nagl quickly took the lead ahead of van de Moosdijk in the first race on Saturday. The two top drivers of the season quickly pulled away from their pursuers. At the halfway point of the regular race distance, Nagl collided with riders who had previously fallen and went to the ground. The following van de Moosdijk could not avoid a collision either. Koch inherited the lead ahead of van de Moosdijk and Noah Ludwig (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), while Nagl retired injured. Two laps after the incident, the race was stopped early and Koch celebrated his first race win since his return to the series, followed by van de Moosdijk, Ludwig, Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/SHR Motorsports by Hartje) and Kevin Brumann (CH/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing).

In the second race on Sunday, Ludwig secured the Red Bull holeshot, but Spies took the lead immediately afterwards. In the third lap, van de Moosdijk took over second place from Ludwig. Spies continuously extended his lead and took an unchallenged victory ahead of van de Moosdijk. Haavisto worked his way up from eighth place in the course of the race and pushed Ludwig from third position three laps before the finish. Koch rounded off the top five.

In the third race, Talviku took the lead with the Red Bull holeshot, followed by Haavisto and Koch. Van de Moosdijk took over third position on the second lap, Spies overtook Koch two more laps later. In the middle of the race, van de Moosdijk took advantage of a mistake by Talvikus to take the lead. On lap ten, Haavisto attacked the leader and overtook van de Moosdijk. One lap later, Spies pushed past Talviku into third position. Haavisto took his first race win in the ADAC MX Masters. Van de Moosdijk, Spies, Talviku and Koch completed the top five.

With three second places, van de Moosdijk not only secured the event victory in Tensfeld ahead of Spies and Koch, but also took the lead in the championship. Nagl slipped back to second place. Spies took third place ahead of Koch and Haavisto.

"First of all, get well soon to Max Nagl after the accident yesterday. I also suffered a small injury from the collision on Saturday, which is why I'm happy with three consistent runs and another victory in Tensfeld," said van de Moosdijk.

"I'm very happy to finally be back on the podium. Everything came together today, especially in the second run. In the last run, I didn't find my rhythm at the beginning and got into the gears too late. But all in all, it was a good weekend," said Spies.

"The race win on Saturday was an excellent start to the weekend. Today I was not completely satisfied with my driving. I have to be better able to do what I can do during the week at the weekend. But with my second podium of the season, I'm already looking forward to the upcoming race in Gaildorf," said Koch.

All races on both days of the event can be streamed as re-livestreams or in individual races free of charge via the playlist ADAC MX Masters on the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel. The full results of the weekend can be found at adac.de/mx-masters available.
