While defending world MXGP champion Romain Febvre has won the opening race in France this afternoon, beating his fellow Frenchman, Maxime Renaux, it was a bad day for Lucas Coenen, who DNFed the race. Pauls Jonas was third.

Febvres Kawasaki factory team-mate, Mathis Valin was the top MX2 rider, and unfortunately, Sasha Coenen also DNFed the race. Bad day so far for the two Belgian twins.

Febvre also won the second moto from Renaux and again, Coenen retired from the race. The MXGP world champions 1-1 performance leads him into the opening round of the MXGP championship, but he still has a couple of pre-season races in England and The Netherlands to look forward to.

Maxime Renaux won the third race from Paul Jonass, Thibault Benistant, Arnaud Tonus and Mathis Valin, with Febvre finishing sixth. Renaux got the overall with 2-2-1 scores.
