Four-time world motocross champion, Jorge Prado has won the second round of the supermotocross championship and heads to the final round next weekend with a handy points lead. The Spaniard went 2-2 and is on fire in USA. Second overall was Hunter Lawrence with a 4-1 result and third was

Jorge Prado: Well, we just keep improving. The jump was good and I was with Hunter and I made a mistake and nearly went over the bars and hurt my wrist. This race was going to be hard, we were all fast and then I nearly went over the bars again and I crashed and stood up and started pushing again. I rode it home safe, it was incredible. Lets get it in the last round.

Hunter Lawrence: I mean, the tracks pretty unique as its very simple and it doesn't seperate like in supercross. A good race win, see you next week.

Ken Roczen: No excuse, happy with my effort, but I don't remember the last time I raced two motos and you cannot buy that intensity. It is what it is, but this was a big effort as last week didn't count as it was a mud race.

450 Race Two

Lawrence with the holeshot, ahead of Prado, but Prado stuffed Lawrence and took the lead, with Deegan third, then Lawrence back into the lead as Prado made a mistake, then came Webb in third, Deegan, Roczen, Friese, Smith, Marchbanks, Ferrandis, and Hampshire 10th. Webb and Roczen swapping positions and again in a tight battle.

Lawrence with a 2.3 second lead over Prado, with Roczen all over Prado for second place, then came Webb, Deegan, Marchbanks, Smith, Hampshire, Friese, and Ferrandis 10th. Prado, Roczen, Webb and Deegan all close together.

The lead by Lawrence had grown to three seconds, with Prado getting away from Roczen and Webb and Deegan also losing the tow to the front three. 10 minutes remaining and Prado crashed and Deegan passed the Spaniard and also passed Roczen and moved into second.

Top ten was Lawrence, Deegan, Roczen, Prado, Webb, Smith, Hampshire, Ferrandis, Marchbanks, and Tomac 10th. Prado moved back past Roczen, who seemed to be fading. Deegan catching Lawrence with the gap now five seconds between first and second.

Prado all over Deegan for second place and the American looking a little tired. Webb moved past Roczen and Prado really putting a lot of pressure on Deegan. Deegan crashed under the pressure and Webb goes down as he tried to pass Deegan, who pushed him down.

Top ten was suddenly Lawrence, Prado, Deegan, Roczen, Webb, Hampshire, Smith, Marchbanks, Ferrandis and Hill. Lawrence wins the race, but Prado the overall and the Spaniard holds a handy lead in the SMX championship points.
