MXGP Spain - Gallery
My oh my, what a season this is going to be. Young vs old, legends vs rookies, but all in all, the MXGP class is rolling along nicely and with rounds one and two in Argentina and Spain both being very, very exciting, I cannot wait for round three in Switzerland.
Lucas Coenen really showed something yesterday and while we all knew he had it, the Belgian speedster is a pleasure to watch. Cool, calm and collected is a perfect way of reflecting what this teenager has and as the season rolls on, it will be nice to see if he can continue to dispense of the legends.
Then we had Camden McLellan being the first South African to win a GP since Tyla Rattray in 2008 and obviously, the first South African to hold the red plate since that 2008 season. MX2 is red hot, and while the names are not as big as the MXGP class, the racing is as good, or better.
Spain delivered in bucket loads, with the huge crowd letting the riders know they appreciated their part in the show. Anyone who has something to knock about MXGP, then please, take off your blinkers and be realistic. This series is just beautiful and getting better by the day.
Ray Archer, JP, Bavo Swijgers, Pascal Haudiquert and the guys and girls from Fullspectrum were out in force and we put together this very nice gallery from their work.
