Factory Triumph factory rider, Camden McLellan has won the Saturday MX2 qualification race after a third-place start, but a mistake by early leader Sasha Coenen handed the South African the lead and once with the lead, he showed brilliant consistency to take victory. Ray Archer image
With Sasha Coenen finishing in sixth place and Langenfelder 8th, the championship points remain rather similar to before this race. Championship points are Simon Längenfelder 284 points, Sacha Coenen 278pts, Guillem Farres 268pts, Liam Everts 253pts and Camden Mc Lellan 243pts.
Camden McLellan: Tough conditions, really tricky track and Sasha was pushing in the first laps. I tried to stay with him, but the risk was not worth it. Sasha then made a mistake and I took the lead and took it home. I was just concentrated on my laps . It is easy to make a mistake here. The starts are awesome, the bike is awesome and I am looking forward to tomorrow.
