Lucas Coenen - Pole
Lucas Coenen just continued to impress and this afternoon in Switzerland, he clocked the quickest time for the MXGP class and again showed us this teenager can ride any type of surface. His time of 1.34.486 was too good for anyone else and while the track is allowing a lot of rider’s similar times, he was outstanding.
Lucas Coenen: I mean, its sketchy and some edges and braking it hard on my arms. Bumps are coming, so it’s coming better.
Romain Febvre the defending champion and man that beat Coenen in the 2025 championship was half a second slower than Coenen, with Kay De Wolf, Tom Vialle, and Alberto Forato rounding out the top five.
The two five-time world champions, Jeffrey Herlings and Tim Gajser finished seventh and eight fastest, with three former MX2 world champions, Andrea Adamo, Paul Jonass and Maxime Renaux rounding out the top 10.
