Looking Back On Germany
More BIG crashes for Tim Gajser & Lotte van Drunen as their 2026 campaigns, and their bodies, take another big hit. The MXGP of Germany started well for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP's Tim Gajser who, despite nursing a knee injury after the massive first turn crash in France, was one of the fastest riders all weekend.
Tim finished P2 in Qualifying, and raced to P2 in Race 1, but CRASHED hard in Race 2! In WMX, Lotte van Drunen was cross jumped by another rider & SLAMMED to the ground. Despite blood streaming from her head & eye, and suffering a lot of pain from head to toe, the reigning women's motocross WORLD CHAMPION still fought her way back to 18th.
Meanwhile in MX2, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2's rapid rookie Janis Reisulis continues to inch closer to a race win. The young Latvian finished P2 in the Qualifying Race and finished just 1-point shy of the GP podium.
Another BIG highlight in this episode was the presence of MTB legend Brendan Fairclough who had the chance to ride a lap of the track with Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP's Maxime Renaux!
