HRC factory rider, Hunter Lawrence has won the Denver supercross ahead of series leader, Ken Roczen. Lawrence passed early leader, Jorge Prado of the Red Bull KTM factory team, and just ran away with the main event.

Roczen had to come through after an average start, but again showed he is a level above everyone else, but Lawrence. Third was Eli Tomac, who had to recover from stalling his bike early and came back to pass Prado for third place.

One point seperated Roczen and Lawrence as they head into Salt Lake City next weekend. Lawrence looked very calm and relaxed, while Roczen did look a little disappointed, despite his runner-up spot.

Jorge Prado was holding down a nice fourth place, but went down in a battle with Cooper Webb, with Webb dropping well back and Prado eventually getting passed by a handful of guys as he lost his momentum.

Hunter Lawrence: Its good. Man, five second board I am so excited, lets do what I love to do. I am really happy, lets go to Salt Lake babe.

Ken Roczen: Great race, I am happy with it. I wasn’t fast enough, but Hunter was on it all day. It is one point and that is what the fans want.
