Red Bull KTM factory rider and world MX2 champion, Simon Langenfelder has gone 1-1 to win the Mantova round of the Italian International. The victory also handed him the Italian International championship, which was two rounds in Sardinia last week and Mantova today.

Simon Langenfelder: Yes, this one was better I would say. We fixed some issues and I felt comfortable with the bike. It was a 1-1, and it sounds easy, but it was difficult. In the start I was left behind and Valerio took the lead and he was already gone and I was like, now I need to push and I found some good lines and passed him.

In the second MX2 moto, Kubulis again with the lead early, but this time Lata on his back wheel and Walvoort third, Valk fourth and Langenfelder sixth. Langenfelder quickly into fifth place and right onto Valk and Walvoort.

Lata into the lead as Kubulis crashed, handing Walvoort second and Langenfelder passed Valk after a small battle. Langenfelder into second place as he passed Walvoort.

Langenfelder battled with Lata for the lead, but with two laps remaing the German passed the Italian. Langenfelder wins the race from Lata and Valk, with Langenfelder winning the two round Italian International championship.
