Positioned between the KTM SX-E 2 and the KTM SX-E 3, the all-new KTM SX-E 2.12 offers taller young riders the ideal platform to take their first steps into the world of off-road riding.

Like the KTM SX-E 2, the KTM SX-E 2.12 is built around an extended version of the central-tube aluminum frame concept. Compared to the KTM SX-E 2, the new machine features a 12-inch front wheel instead of a 10-inch one, while longer suspension components provide a higher seating position and more room for growing riders.

Up front, a WP hydraulic fork with 90 mm of travel absorbs bumps on the track. At the rear, a hydraulic monoshock with a 34 mm diameter and adjustable preload delivers 70 mm of travel. Mounted directly to the swingarm, the shock absorber is perfectly matched to the front fork, offering balanced handling and consistent damping across various conditions.

This results in a seat height that is 66 mm higher than the KTM SX-E 2's maximum seat height of 500 mm. Additionally, the KTM SX-E 2.12 benefits from increased ground clearance and a longer wheelbase, without compromising its total weight of just 29 kg.

Power is provided by a lightweight, maintenance-free 1.8 kW hub motor, fed by a water-resistant, IP65-rated 9.4 Ah lithium-ion battery. Together, this powertrain delivers a maximum torque of 50 Nm. Because the hub motor concept eliminates components such as a chain or gears, the weight remains low and safety is further enhanced—particularly in the event of a fall.

Thanks to its quiet electric drive, simple operation, and lightweight construction, the KTM SX-E 2.12 is ideal for use in the backyard or in locations with noise restrictions.

Charging is handled via an external charger with an output of up to 500 W, compatible with both 110-volt and 230-volt outlets. The battery can be fully charged in approximately 60 minutes.

In terms of safety and ease of use, the KTM SX-E 2.12 features a tilt sensor that cuts power in the event of a fall or if the bike tips over. Additionally, a wrist lanyard connects directly to the emergency kill switch, instantly shutting down the motor if the rider loses control.

An illuminated multifunction display on the handlebars makes it easy to view the selected ride mode. Different color indicators clearly show which mode is active.

The KTM SX-E 2.12 once again underscores KTM's commitment to the next generation of champions. Young riders benefit from the same high-quality materials, advanced components, and proven technology found across the broader SX range.

The 2027 KTM SX-E 2.12 is available now at authorized KTM dealers. Availability may vary by country. For more information about the all-electric KTM Mini range, go to KTM.com or visit an authorized KTM dealer near you.
