FIM - MXGP Control System
The FIM and Infront Moto Racing have taken a major step forward in elevating motocross with the introduction of a brand-new FIM TV Control system, debuting at the MXGP of Andalucia in Almonte.
For the first time in motocross history, a video Control Room has been implemented, designed to support race direction in enforcing regulations, improving decision-making, and enhancing rider safety and event security.

This innovation will now be present at every MXGP and MX2 round moving forward. Through full integration with live TV feeds and advanced camera coverage, including drone footage, FIM Race Direction will be able to monitor every aspect of on-track action in real time.
David Luongo, Infront Moto Racing CEO & President: “This new TV control room will give a complete overview for the officials and the FIM Race Direction to control and monitor the races in every aspect during the MXGP weekends. It will undeniably improve efficiency and reactivity of the officials as well as the medical teams across the track; ultimately helping our sport to be safer during races. This evolution is a major step into a more modern era of our sport. I want to thank FIM, its president Jorge Viegas and CMS Director Antonio Alia for the great collaboration on this project. “
Antonio Alía, FIM / CMS Director underlined the significance of this milestone: “A new era in the way the MXGP & MX2 events are going to be managed has started. From the MXGP in Spain onwards, at every event, the FIM Race Direction will be able to control what happens during the sessions with a brand-new Control Room. This system allows us to monitor every sequence of the action on track thanks to the collaboration with Infront Moto Racing, the TV feeds and the unconditional technical support from all the staff involved. This step will not only open the way to adopting new technologies, but it will also provide valuable data that can be used to improve medical and marshalling responses. At the same time, it helps us manage the sporting side of the championship in a more professional way, with the ability to record and analyse every detail from multiple camera angles, including drones. This is just the beginning. More tools and devices will be added in the near future, and we are confident that this evolution will continue to transform the way motocross is viewed and managed.”
Beyond officiating, the system will also play a crucial role in coordinating faster medical and marshal interventions, thanks to improved visibility and data access during races.
With this innovation, MXGP continues to push the boundaries of the sport, combining tradition with cutting-edge technology to ensure fair competition, increased safety, and a new standard of race control.
