HRC factory rider, Ruben Fernandez has won the MXGP qualification race today at the Foxhill circuit in England. There was a lot of drama with both Lucas Coenen and Jeffrey Herlings crashing, with Coenen retiring from the race and Herlings fighting to get back into fourth.

Vialle with the early lead in the MXGP qualification race as Fernandez was second, then Febvre, Herlings, Gifting, Gajser, Pancar, Horgmo, Renaux, Jonass and Vlaanderen 10th. Coenen went down and was last and then Herlings went down and was also well back. Herlings was 16th and Coenen 28th.

Febvre now going after Fernandez as they lock bars, but the Spaniard held on. This isn’t a track either Coenen or Herlings will make up much time. Both Herlings and Coenen making not progress to the front and probably zero points for both today.

The lead by Vialle was 1.8 seconds over Fernandez, with Febvre three second back, and Coenne seemingly out of the race as he returned to the paddock. Top ten was Vialle, Fernandez, Febvre, Gifting, Gajser, Horgmo, Renaux, Jonass, Vlaanderen, and Pancar.

Herlings up to 12th place, so maybe some points available, and soon after he moved into 10th place. Herlings all over Vlaanderen for ninth place and the top ten was Vialle, Fernandez, Febvre, Gajser, Horgmo, Gifting, Renaux, Jonass, Vlaanderen and Oliver. Gajser also a crash, but lost just one spot, as he dropped to fifth place.

Fernandez into the lead as he passed Vialle and Herlings into seventh spot. Herlings climbing all over Gajser for fourth place, after a great fight through the field. Fernandez won from Febvre, Viall and Herlings.
