Sasha Coenen of the Red Bull KTM factory team is back with a win at the Swedish GP at the Uddevalla circuit today, with a 1-1 performance and made a big challenge to series leader, Guillem Farres, who crashed again in the second moto today, but finished with 6-4 results for fourth overall. Second overall in the GP was Liam Everts with 2-2 and third Camden McLellan with 3-3 scores.

Sasha Coenen: I am back, I am back where I belong and I am really happy with the work with the team and also with the physio. I am so happy, I have no words for this. Not so much to say. Happy on Sunday, I was not happy on Saturday and I dealt with the pressure on Sunday.

Championship points are now Guillem Farres 701 points, Sacha Coenen 677pts, Camden Mc Lellan 656pts, Simon Längenfelder 640pts and Liam Everts 595pts. We go to Arnhem with the MX2 championship now wide open again.

MX2 Moto Two

Coenen again the holeshot from Langenfelder, Everts, McLellan, Karssemakers, Janis Reisulis, Gundersen, Grau, Mikula, Karlis Reisulis. Farres in 12th place and again going to struggle on this tough circuit to pass. Amazingly, Farres quickly into sixth place and flying.

Farres all over Reisulis for fifth place and really looking comfortable in this second moto. Farres into fifth and now going after Langenfelder. On lap three it was Coenen, Everts, McLellan, Langenfelder, Farres, Reisulis, Lata, Karlis Reisulis, Zanocz and Korsbeck. Coenen with a three second lead over Everts, with McLellan nearly 10 seconds back.

Farres moved past Langenfelder and the Spaniard really looking determined to get to McLellan, who was two seconds ahead. Farres 12 seconds off the leader, Coenen. Top ten on lap four was Coenen, Everts, McLellan, Farres, Langenfelder, Janis Reisulis, Lata, Karlis Reisulis, Zanocz and Korsbeck.

On lap six the lead was 2.3 seconds with Everts making a little ground on Coenen, with McLellan nearly 10 seconds back and Farres catching his South African team-mate. Then came Langenfelder, Janis Reisulis, Karlis Reisulis, Lata, Zanocz, and Mikula 10th.

On lap thirteen, Everts up on the back wheel of Coenen and McLellan in control of third place with a two second gap to his team-mate. Everts really going for the GP win, trying to pass Coenen and the son of Stefan looking stronger with five minutes and two laps remaining. 20 years ago, Stefan won on this circuit.

Coenen did turn his speed up a little and got the gap to one second, with McLellan 4.3 back and Farres 6.5 back in fourth. Farres went down and lost the chance of passing McLellan. Coenen wins the moto, the GP and gains serious points on Farres in the championship.
