Belgium Champions - MXoN
Belgium are Monster Energy Motocross of Nations champions as their three young men, Liam Everts, Lucas Coenen and Sasha Coenen put together the most consistent performances to take victory in Ernee today. It was Belgium’s first win in 13 years and of course, Liam Everts joins his father (Stefan) and grandfather (Harry), as an MXoN winner for Belgium. It is the 16th time Belgium have won the biggest prize in the sport.
Jeffrey Herlings went 1-1 for the Open class overall and must now be considered the fastest rider in Europe and maybe even the fastest man on the planet again. Jorge Prado was impressive for Team Spain with 2-2 results, while Liam Everts was also impressive with 4-4 results. Romain Febvre went 1-3 for France, but the local team suffered horrible luck.
Team results were Belgium with 23 points, then Spain 26pts, The Netherlands 34pts, Latvia 52pts, USA 53pts, Italy 69pts, Great Britain 82pts, Switzerland 82pts, Australia 87pts, France 90pts.
MXGP/Open Moto
Prado led the final race, but Febvre passed him and then Prado regained the lead, then came Everts, Herlings, but Everts into second place and Coenen in 11th place. Top ten was Prado, Everts, Herlings, Febvre, Pancar, Webb, Watson, Jonass, Coenen.

Febvre really making life difficult for Herlings, as Coenen moved into 8th place and Garcia back in 13th spot. Febvre passed Herlngs and the Dutchmn crashed and dropped back to 8th place. Van De Moosdijk miles back in 21st and the Dutch must be out of it now.
Team USA riders in 5th and 16th with Webb and Beaumer. Vialle into fifth place and this race is chaos at the moment. Herlings into seventh with a pass on Coenen and the top ten on lap two was Prado, Everts, Febvre, Pancar, Vialle, Herlings, Webb, Coenen, Jonass, and Adamo. Everts close to Prado for the lead and really showing his skills on the big 450 machine.
Herlings into fifth place with a pass on Vialle and Webb also passed the Frenchman. Coenen into sixth as he passed both Vialle and Webb and going after Herlings. Febvre all over Everts for second place and Prado two seconds ahead of those two.
Febvre into second place as Everts drops to third and Herlings in fifth and 10 seconds behind the leader. Top ten on lap four was Prado, Febvre, Everts, Pancar, Herlings, Coenen, Webb, Jonass, Vialle and Beaton. Herlings passed Pancar and now into fourth spot.
Febvre a mistake and crashed and that allowed Everts and Herlings past. Herlings now nine seconds behind Prado. Pancar also went past the Frenchman. Vialle a mistake and back in 14th place and the French charge really a mess at the moment. Vialle out of the moto.
Herlings on fire as he arrives at the back wheel of Everts and just 6.5 behind Prado. Herlings a lap four seconds quicker than Prado, and five seconds behind the leader. Herlings all over Everts and just 4.5 behind Prado. Herlings into second and now going after Prado.

Herlings 3.7 behind Prado, and Everts 6.6 back, then Febvre, Coenen, Webb, Pancar, Jonass, Beaton and Adamo. Herlings cuts the lead to 2.3 seconds and still 11 minutes and two laps remaining. Herlings cuts the lead from Prado to less than two seconds. In fact, it was cut to 1.5 seconds.
Herlings all over the back wheel of Prado. Traffic and Herlings not allowing the Spaniard to get an advantage and Herlings into the KTM man, but Prado a nice little block pass and Prado continues to block the charge of Herlings.
Brilliant battle from the two at front, but Herlings just too good and take the lead. The fastest man in Europe is again “The Bullet”. Herlings very quickly two seconds ahead of Prado, with Everts 12 seconds off the leader, then came Febvre, Coenen, Webb, Pancar, Jonass and Beaton.
Herlings lead was seven seconds over Prado, with Febvre into third place with a pass on Everts. Everts and Coenen in fourth and fifth, but with Prado second and Garcia in 11th and 4 seconds down on Jed Beaton, Spain are not out of it yet. Herlings wins the moto and Belgium the MXoN.
